People work hard to keep the school running. Their is a personal feel about things. The leadership that I have come into contact with are warm and welcoming. The teachers that work at the school work very hard to help their students achieve. Sometimes this happens under very stressful conditions and they still work hard to help everyone.
Something I would like to see is for the school to make sure to teach to a diverse level of learners. Supplementing those who are getting what they need out of grade level material, but need more enrichment. In addition to this more options to respect and uplift those who come from diverse backgrounds.
I like that I feel safe walking around at night and there is a grocery store in town. Big Lake has all the stores one needs to shop at and I like that we have such a good swimming beach in town.
There are enough places to go out to eat and close to other areas to shop. The main attraction of big lake is the lake in the middle of town- wonderful to walk, boat, or paddle board.
